The possessions I covet most aren’t the branded or expensive items I own, but the ones that have the most thought and craftsmanship put into them. I wanted to create something with the principles I hold sacred to my heart, to share my definition of luxury.

Instilled in me at a young age was the value of sourcing. One of the first lessons from my mother was that olive oil isn’t just olive oil, there are varieties. Each type of olive produces a different flavour, and each harvest will yield a slight difference in the profile of the oil. Different varieties are used for different things.

The lessons continued; there is no one type of tomato, fruits are seasonal, there are good harvests and bad harvests, there are good yields and bad yields, good crops and bad crops - different nutritional profiles that come with each of these variants.

I remember my parents’ commitment to this. They would travel to the other side of the city to get good produce, waking up before dawn to reach the wholesale markets and ensure they had first pick - I wanted to honour that when I founded Supper Club. I created Sabzi as a testament to quality, while celebrating my rich cultural heritage.

I wanted to take things back to basics. You wouldn’t eat a meal replacement every day as a substitute for key nutrition, so how we feed our skin should be no different.

I have the desire to create sustainable, quality skincare that offers a complex nutritional profile for the skin. Supper Club Skincare is about celebrating real, everyday ingredients that are abundant on our planet, celebrated and known widely for their health benefit by their local communities.
